Mementos is a series of photographs of sceneries packaged as a set of small keepsakes, reminiscent of souvenirs. Photographed using infrared technology with minimal post production, the light and colour spectrum revealed is undetectable and unseen by the human eye, resulting in unnatural, hyperreal landscapes. These miniature scenes reveal lesser known areas of the Central West of New South Wales. The localities documented are on the Macquarie, Fish and Turon rivers; a triad of waterways that are the lifeblood of the Bathurst district. The artist acknowledges and gives thanks to the Wiradyuri people both past and present who are the traditional custodians of the land and waterways depicted in Mementos. giclée print on archival Hahnemühle fine art paper 100 x 140cm edition of 6
